Club Chair

Animavi  | A Sustainable Armchair For The Luxury Market (2007)

The inspiration for the Animavi Club Chair comes from a combination of the classic Adirondack chair, the exhilarating energy of the Maxell “blown away guy” ad, and the love of fluid curves and simple forms. The leather is organically tanned, the stainless steel has high domestic recycled content, and the interior seat frame is a thermoformed sheet of 3Form recycled resin. The Club Chair is made in California.

Hang Chair

Animavi  |  Winner, Sustainability Award, Design Within Reach M+D+F Event, San Francisco (2009)

The Hang Chair was chosen from over 80 furniture entries to be one of 15 pieces shown at the M+D+F event at the DWR Potrero Hill studio. Winner of the Sustainability Award, its sustainable qualities included recycled domestic content for the stainless steel, the recyclable seat (in resin or ABS), easily detachable parts, and local production (made in Southern California). Connected via the seat, the two nesting leg-parts are left to be slightly flexible by design. A very comfortable seating experience.

Sync Bench

Animavi | Wood and Stainless Steel Bench (2006)

Designed for Animavi, a Los Angeles based sustainable furniture company. This indoor/outdoor highlights the ‘2-plank-bench’ simplicity and can showcase a variety of ‘plank’ materials. A small wedge on each end locks the stainless steel bases and planks together like a secret puzzle.
